I started reading your “all My Dogs” and wanted to share the unbelievable sign my Bella left for me.
She was only with us for 3 years, first time we ever had a small dog. She was a dachshund we took in after her owner died. When Bella passed I was heartbroken, our 14 yearold lab had passed 2 weeks prior. I was looking forward to years of closeness with this little squirt. I was feeling guilty that I must have missed something, I wasn’t attentive enough I was really really sad. Several months after she passed we had rescued another dog but I was still worrying about Bella and if she knew how much I loved her . One morning I was walking our new girl in an area that was very unpopulated, although it was a very clean area, and we walked it twice a day. I walked a distance then turned around and walked back, as I was returning I noticed something on the ground that was not there when I went up the street a few minutes prior…. It was a small 4×4 book ALL ABOUT DACHSHUNDS!!!! Full of pics, one that looked exactly like her, she was a piebald which is rare. To this day, 4 years later I still cannot believe she sent me that sign. I believe she is with her original owner and they wanted to thank and assure me they were ok and together. I remember as she was passing over I whispered over and over for her to go find Val❤️. They are together again.
