Hi Kay!
I posted your link on my FB profile page.

Our 8 year-old son and seventh child, Chandler, joined our family four years ago from Shanxi, LinFen, China. This past Sunday my husband , Steve, took Chandler, our daughter Annika, also adopted from China, and our dog Lily down to the pond to do some fishing. All of a sudden Chandler started yelling and pointing to the water. Steve looked out to where Chandler was pointing and saw a shoe floating away.... Chandler's shoe!! He had been kicking rocks into the pond and his sneaker went sailing into the pond behind the rock that he had just kicked in!! My husband had to crawl out onto a log and and was luckily able to reach Chandler's shoe with his fishing pole. Chandler had to walk home in a very squishy, wet shoe, but had a great story to tell. By the way, Chandler's shoe was the only thing they caught that day

Hi Kay! I posted to our blog {it's private but I'll send you an invite if you need to check me!lol} and to my FB.

Our son is Joel. He came to us via Bangkok, Thailand last September. He is three years old and is all boy...if you know what I mean. The pants and boxer briefs come off at any given time and he proceeds to bend his knees, throw his arms in the air, and pose. Yep, just like a guy.

What a joy this little boy is. Having lived with two daughters all these years, our lives are now all the more rich having this son. He is gorgeous, funny, soft and cuddly. And I can't imagine another day without him!

Thanks, Kay! Can't wait till June!
Hugs~

Dear Kay,
I posted today on our blog with a link to the new edition of your book. I have THREE sweet boys.
Brayden, Easton and Nolan. It's only fair I leave a comment about each of them.

Brayden (this was when he was 3.5)--we were watching extreme kayaking where the kayakers were plummeting down heavily rocked waterfalls. I said, "Oh their poor mothers!" (Thinking to myself that if I was their mom I couldn't stand to watch this!) There was a brief silence where I could tell Brayden's wheels were turning in his head and then he questioned curiously and in disbelief that someone could be doing this dangerous stuff AND have something bad happen to their mom, "WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR MOMS?!"

Easton (age 4)--I had my first grader home for a snow day. Knowing that the 2 older boys who share a bedroom would not take a nap if they were left together I said I was going to "draw straws" for who would get to sleep in my bedroom. Easton suddenly got a somber look of defeat on his face and when I asked why, he said, "Well Mom ... I don't really draw very good." (He thought we were actually going to draw pictures of them.)

Nolan (age 1)--He cracks me up just being my little gingerbread man (no seriously, he walk like one!) But he also adds an "A" onto most words. His and my favorite is his "Zambonia" (ie: His Zamboni, and if you don't know, that's that little truck that cleans the ice on an ice rink.) He says it like the name of a country.
Looking forward to the drawing! AND best of luck on the new edition of Silent Tears. It is a wonderful moving and spirit igniting book.

Posted on my Facebook page.
So many funny stories about my boy- he's 3 1/2, adopted from Guatemala at 4 mo. He's a wild man, but so so sweet. And kinda cocky- listen to this.... We're shopping and a pretty little girl touched my boy's arm as we walk by and she smiles at him. Mac says to me-- Mommy? Why girls all the time touching me? I said I didn't know. Then he says..."I think I know....and smiles...I think it's because all the time they like me.....(with a big grin). I said I think you're probably right. He knows what's going on.

Hi! Your link is on my blog!!!!!
 My favorite Parkerisms lately are:
"Mama, I want to wear a short-sleeved shirt and long-sleeved pants!"

While hiding under a blanket, "Daddy, I need a flashlight in here so I can see a thing!"...after getting the flashlight, "See! Now I can see a thing!"

"Mama, God lives in my heart and moves the handles to make my legs go up and down!"

We have one Skippy Jon Jones book and all three kids love it!!!

I posted!

I have two amazing boys. Jonah (5) says incredible things. One thing he said the Christmas he was three when he was opening the presents from Santa is "Thank you God for telling Santa I make good choices." Grady (3) amazes me everyday. That he now runs, climbs, is so strong even though he didn't walk until he was 2 years, 3 months old (home at 18 months). That he comes to me for a hug when he is scared and that he tries to tell us (still with signs, gestures, and vocalizations) what he needs.

We our proud parents of one awesome little boy. We adopted our son Ryan a year ago at 4 years old. He is such a little character. It amazes me everyday how far he has come since that first frightfull meeting. He truly loves his big sister Emmalyn. (also from China) They share such a special bond. Now onto a Ryan "funny" as we love to call them. =0)

One day he was sitting in the back seat of the car watching some a Bible story about Abraham, Sarah and Issac. He then said "Mommy I want you to have a baby." Me: Well honey, I dont think that is going to happen." Ryan: Why Not??? Now I am trying how to explain to my then 4 year old son, in a appropiate way, why I couldn't have a baby. when...... Ryan: Never mind mommy I know why?? Me: Really, why honey??? Ryan: (with a Huge smile on his face mind you) Your Too Old!!! Too Funny!!!

Hi! I shared the link, now to share my funny about my boys! They are 6,8 and 10.

My boys had a "secret" meeting one morning in thier book nook. They were discussing Harold and the Purple Crayon and "magic." They decided after pooling their knowledge that they would love to have a "magic door" to take them special places. So they got a pencil and drew one on the wall in the nook under the bed. DH and I laughed and let it slide. We told them that one was okay, but no more. Unfortunatly, we were a little to late. The next day we discovered "magic" doors in the kitchen, familyroom AND the bathroom as well. We had a "magic" party the following weekend. We had a family party and used used "magic" eraser to make the doors go away. We were told that it was more fun to make them than make them go away!
