Oh my word. That is so sad and heartbreaking. I knew it was happening among families IN China (two working parents who live in the city sending their children to live with relatives in the more rural regions, “back to the farm” kind of situations) but I had no idea it was happening trans-continentally. So sad for all parties involved, all around.
